Databases come in numerous formats, with different ways of separating their values. Certain programs may not support all database formats, which can make things difficult if you need to work with a specific type of database. When you encounter such issues with media files, you can use a specialized application to convert them. Exportizer can do the same thing, but with databases. It can read databases and convert them between various formats, including DB, DBF, text, CSV, XLS, XML and many others. The program allows you to make a wide range of configurations and it supports other output methods, like sending the database to the clipboard or to a printer.

Exportizer comes in Standard and Pro editions. The Standard version is free, but it doesn't offer the same amount of features as the Pro version. Installing the software is a simple procedure, which doesn't take more than a minute to complete. Besides making the usual settings, like selecting a destination folder or creating shortcuts, you can also associate the program with certain database formats. You can use Exportizer on numerous Windows platforms, from Win 98 to Win 8.

Databases can be imported from various sources, like files, folders, ODBC or data links, through different interfaces, such as ADO, BDE or Interbase. Once you import a database, its contents will be displayed on the program's main user interface, on which you can filter the information, create new entries or delete existing ones. If your database doesn't come with a schema, Exportizer will offer to create one for you. Before creating the schema, you can choose a separation mode, like tab, space, comma and others and make other fine adjustments.

The program allows you to export everything in a loaded database or selected tables. Output settings can be made on a tabbed window. Each tab presents a wide range of options, for specific database formats. You can set a maximum number of entries, set a number of source records per target row and much more. Besides exporting databases as files, it is also possible to copy them to the clipboard, with the same output settings. Furthermore, you can generate command lines and save them as files or copy them to the clipboard.

Pros

Databases can be converted between various formats. The program allows you to make numerous output settings. Exportizer can also copy databases to the clipboard, print them and generate command lines.

Cons

Compared to the Pro edition, the Standard version is very limited. The possibility of converting databases between different formats and complete freedom to make any output settings are just a few advantages that Exportizer has to offer.
